Behind the Scenes of Wayne’s World in 19 Photos

Wayne's world, probably the only film other than Bill and Ted that spoke to us rock n roll kids who had no support in 90s society. We were small in numbers, spent most of our time reminiscing about the music of the 80s, and generally felt underserved and overlooked. That was until Wayne and Garth graced our cinema screens, and showed the world who we truly are. The movie (not mentioning the horrific sequel here so as to not tarnish their good name), gave comfort to the many kids who felt unseen and for many of us, the confidence that movie gave us to be ourselves still lives on today.

Which is why we wanted to take a nostalgic stroll, or scroll if you will, through the candid moments captured behind the scenes of this seminal masterpiece. So strap in and get ready to party, because it's Wayne's World, Party Time, Excellent, Weeooo Weeoo Weeoo.

To think of the magical movie moments that happened on this set simply boggles the mind. And while those moments were likely saved for the movie’s blooper real, it is nice to see a tranquil moment amongst the mayhem. That, and the fact that movie stars are just like us, tired, drinking terrible coffee, waiting for the work day to be over.

Possibly one of the most iconic moments of the movie. It almost looks like the director is telling everyone on set to stay the heck away from the guitar. Explaining its priceless value and that anyone who touches it other than Wayne will be struck down by the rock n roll gods.
